This walk is a little over a mile and winds through both indoor and outdoor exhibits in the Chihuahuan Desert where you will see more than 50 species of desert mammals, birds, and reptiles, as well as almost 500 varieties of plants. Birds ranging from small songbirds to hawks, eagles, turkeys, and owls live in the aviary. One of the park's many highlights are its endangered gray wolves. Inside the greenhouse you'll find hundreds of succulents and cacti from around the world showing off their spines and beauty. Among the activities are wildlife viewing, hiking, educational programs, zoo camp, and star parties.
