Address:Cloudcroft, New Mexico
Just three miles east of the historic town of Cloudcroft, Ski Cloudcroft provides a great day of fun for the entire family. The town of Cloudcroft, located high in the Sacramento Mountains, was established as a railroad town in the late 1880s. Not much has changed in the years since its establishment. Even the lodge at the bottom of the mountain is the same one originally constructed there in 1911.
Ski Cloudcroft's ski season, weather permitting, runs from mid-December to mid-March, and provides skiers and boarders with 74 skiable acres, split into 27 runs and serviced by three lifts. In addition to the alpine skiing, there are plenty of additional activities to be found in the Cloudcroft area. With 1.1 million acres of forest, cross-country skiing, tubing, snowmobiling, and an ice skating rink in Cloudcroft town there's also plenty of terrain in which to enjoy them.
There are a variety of dining choices in Cloudcroft with big breakfasts, grills, and additional local favorites. For a drink in the evening, the only place you'll find locals is at The Western Bar & Café.
For a special lodging experience, make sure to check out the historic Lodge. Built in 1911, the Lodge has hosted a wide variety of celebrities over the years, and it also has a choice of restaurants. For other accommodation options, be sure to check out nearby Alamogordo and Roswell.
