Our Zoo and Aquarium Expert Says:
First opened in 1894, the zoo features a wide variety of amphibians, birds, fish, invertebrates, mammals, and reptiles. Among the animals you'll see and enjoy are the red-tailed hawk, snowy owl, giant marine toad, amur leopard, cougar, Madagascar tree boa, and chicken turtle. The zoo has many interesting special programs such as Breakfast With The Animals which allows private groups to come in and view the animals' early morning behavior before the park opens to the general public.
Especially for kids: Stroller rentals available.
Open 10 am to 4 pm. $ (Inexpensive)
From Seneca Park Zoo - Rochester, New York:
The zoo continues to be one of the leading attractions in this area. Many recent renovations have taken place, including relocation of the entrance of the zoo to provide a more convenient and welcoming experience; a new covered deck to accommodate food service patrons during inclement weather and also new playground equipment.
