Travel through foaming waters beneath the Niagara Falls and feel the mist in your face! The Maid of the Mist Boat Tour is the coolest way to see Niagara Falls!
Depicted both in Jim Carrey's "Bruce Almighty," and in "Superman II", the first Maid of the Mist Boat Tour was launched in 1846 as a ferry service between Canada and America before the construction of the first suspension bridge at the site. Today, the famous Niagara Falls boat tour operates May through October and begins at a calm part of the Niagara River, near the Rainbow Bridge, taking its passengers past the American and Bridal Veil Falls, then into the dense mist of spray inside the curve of the Horseshoe Falls. Dressed in a yellow souvenir slicker, visitors take the 30-minute boat tour starting from either the Canadian or U.S. side of the river, and hear the deafening roar of both the American and Horseshoe Falls, where the feeling of mist spraying in your face is incredible, especially at 170 feet below the brink, where the Maid of the Mist stops and lingers for a while.
Packed with people and fun, be sure to come prepared for an unforgettable adventure on the famous Maid of the Mist.
