Our Casino Expert Says:

Lakeside Gaming Seneca Falls seems to be closed. When it was open it was a pretty weak spot for gambling. The Indian-owned casino featured slots only and was closed at night. But do not despair – Finger Lakes Casino and Racetrack in nearby Farmington, New York offers a full gaming experience, just north of Canandaigua Lake.

The gaming floor offers 1200 slots and video games on 30,000 square feet of gaming floor, open till 4am. If betting on the horses is more your thing, there is daily racing with a 1pm post time in the summer months. Between betting on the horses and trying your luck at the slots, the Finger Lakes Casino and Racetrack offers a huge buffet open for lunch and dinner and in between (11:30 am to 10 pm). Note that if you plan on stopping by with the kids on the way to or from Niagara Falls, no one under the age of 18 is allowed on the gaming floor or at the buffet. Other dining options include sandwiches at the Platinum Grille and dining while watching the races at the Terrace. The casino offers local music entertainment on weekends.

If you have previously been at Lakeside Gaming in Seneca Falls, the Finger Lakes Casino is 30 miles west on the New York Thruway at exit 44. Combine some casino time with some wine tasting a few miles down the road at the Canandaigua Wine and Culinary Center. Or you can continue heading west towards Buffalo and Niagara Falls, both a bit under two hours away.
