Calling all families! This mall is for you! With over 130 stores on 2 levels and a ton of kid's activities throughout the mall, you will be glad you decided to take the family out to South Hills Village! Located in an upscale suburban area of Pittsburgh, you will be greeted by a nice and pleasant atmosphere filled with excellent specialty stores like Apple, J. Crew, Sephora, Abercrombie & Fitch, and Bath & Body Works. Make sure you also check out the mall's anchors, Boscov's, Macy's, and Sears.
The younger kids will love the unique soft play area, located on the lower level near Macy's. There is a 10 foot clubhouse, rocket, car, ball and spaceship. There are even mirrored soft play pieces for babies to play with. Sign your kids up to the Simon Kidgits Club—for only $5.00 a kid, they will each get a t-shirt, birthday card and gift (on their birthdays of course), discount offers to stores in the mall, and invitations to events held throughout the year at the mall. While the little ones are playing, you can send your older kids over to the Build-a-Bear Workshop or you can walk down together to the Disney Store. Warning! It will be hard to get the sports fan in your family out of the Pittsburgh Steelers Sideline Store, so enter with caution!
With all the running around with the kids, your feet will deserve a break and your belly will appreciate some fuel! Head over to the food court for a delicious meal at the Roxy Café Restaurant or Rita's Ices, Cones, Shakes, & Other Cool Stuff—surely to be a big hit with the kids! When your bellies are all full, take a walk over to the 10 screen Carmike Movie Theater for an enjoyable movie and a chance to relax. If you are staying in the area and have a late night craving, go to Eat N' Park, located right near Macy's. It's open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week and has an all-American menu, an awesome bakery department with extended breakfast menu hours!
South Hills Village is located just 7.5 miles south of Pittsburgh at the corner of Route 19 and Fort Couch Road. The mall is easy to find and easily accessible via the PAT Light Rail Transit System. The South Hills Village station is located across from Macy's. Your family will be going home tired after a long day at South Hills Village—but it definitely will have been worth it!
