Practical Info: Rafting season is open approximately from April to October, with whitewater rafting trips ranging in length from 4 days to 18 days. The river is suitable for paddle rafts, oar rafts, dories, and motorized rafts. Portage may be required.
Useful Tips: Guides are optional, although permits may be required for private trips, and whitewater experience is recommended. Outfitters on the Colorado River's Grand Canyon offer trips suitable for families (certain sections).
