Our Ski Specialist Says:

Brian Head is Utah's southernmost ski resort, meaning it's mostly those sun-lovin' Southern Californians and Nevada folk that flock to these slopes. In Utah's southwest corner near Zion and Bryce National parks, Brian Head Resort serves up some of the state's most diverse terrain, famous dry Utah powder, and spectacularly unique skiing scenery. As the only Utah resort surrounded by red-rock territory, Brian Head promises breathtaking views from both the summit, and, even the base, which is actually the highest in the state at 9,600 feet. The resort's friendly, safe and laid-back atmosphere attracts the family crowds, and affordable lodging is available on the mountain and in nearby Parowan and Cedar City.

Brian Head has two main peaks. Navajo Peak is for beginner and lower intermediate riders and skiers, while Giant Steps is devoted to intermediate and advanced skiers and riders. Beginner and intermediate runs dominate the mountain at almost 80 percent. There is also acclaimed double-black diamond snowcat skiing available from the summit. Snowboarders will appreciate Brian Head's apparent dedication to freestyle riding, boasting three terrain parks – one for each skill level with over 30 features, including a halfpipe, rails, funboxes, and jumps.
