The pro volleyball season starts off every year in one of the prototypical cities for the sport – Miami. The AVP Tour schedule kicks off right here in Bicentennial Park with the Miami Open.
The tournament is an intense, three-day, affair, with qualifying matches on Friday, followed by the main draw over an action-packed Saturday and Sunday. Located right on the Biscayne Bay beach, right near the American Airlines Arena, Bicentennial Park spans 30 acres, and hosts concerts and other events during the year.
Tickets for the Miami Open are free for qualifying day, with rates for general admission, courtside seats, and students available on Saturday and Sunday. Play begins at 8 a.m. Friday and Saturday and finishes at 6 p.m., while Sunday's schedule runs from 8:30 am-5:30 pm.
