Welcome to the biggest outlet mall in the world! This is an outlet mall and entertainment center of unbelievable proportions. Bring your walking shoes and get ready for a workout; and don't expect to just run in to get one thing - shopping at Sawgrass Mills is a daylong event, if not two or three or more.
This monster of a mall, shaped like an alligator, is a 2.2 million square foot expanse, features more than 350 name-brand stores and outlets, more eateries than you can imagine in one establishment, and a movie theater with over 20 screens. Sawgrass Mills will keep you entertained, well fed, and weighed down with shopping bags. Located in Sunrise, a neighborhood just outside sunny Ft. Lauderdale, the mall is sprawled out over indoor lengths of intertwining "avenues" that intersect with outdoor, palm tree-lined pavilions.
The list of anchor and major stores is almost as long as an ordinary mall's complete list of stores. Some major stores include Bed Bath & Beyond, Last Call Neiman Marcus, Nike, JCPenney Outlet Store, Nordstrom Rack, Polo Kids, Super Target, T.J. Maxx, and Sports Authority. Restaurants include Ben & Jerry's, Rainforest Café, Legal Sea Foods, and Japan Café, just to name a few. Bring your kids to enjoy the Kids Soft Play Area or come alone and join the Mills Walking Club for a good workout. Sawgrass Mills is located 15 miles from the Fort Lauderdale International Airport and 30 miles from the Miami International Airport, making this outlet experience a convenient first stop or last stop (or both!) of your trip. It is located at the intersection of West Sunrise Boulevard. and Flamingo Road. Coming from I-95, merge onto 595 West and exit on Flamingo Road, then make a right to go north. At Sunrise Boulevard, make a left. Make a right at Purple Parrot Place and enter the mall. If you're heading north on I-75 to Coral Springs (869), exit on Sunrise Boulevard, east towards Sawgrass Mills. Make a left at Purple Parrot Place and enter the mall.
