The Coral Gables Biltmore Hotel was built in 1926 and was designed by the New York architecture firm Shultze and Weaver, also responsible for the Millennium Biltmore Hotel in Los Angeles and the Waldorf-Astoria in New York City. At the time of its completion, the Coral Gables Biltmore Hotel was the tallest building in Florida. Since then, the Coral Gables Biltmore Hotel became a Veterans Affairs hospital after World War II and a part of the University of Miami medical school until 1968 before becoming a hotel again in 1987.

To get to the Coral Gables Biltmore Hotel, visitors should take 395 South to the end, then continue straight to the South Dixie Highway.
