Our Beach Bum Says:

Red Reef Park is a 39 acre park with one mile of beautiful beachfront. Here you will find a beach that offers everything that a beach should offer – fantastic swimming, surfing, a boardwalk, sand dunes, and even a reef for snorkeling. It is this man-made reef that attracts most of the visitors to Red Reef Park, enabling beginner through advanced snorkelers to experience the magical underwater world of fish, turtles, eels, stingrays, and even manatees!

Another big draw to Red Reef Park is the fact that the beach is open after dark – until 10pm! Late night walkers, fishermen, and picnickers come out and keep this beach busy all night! (Otherwise, fishing is not allowed between 9am and 5pm when people are swimming in the water.)

While you're at Red Reef Park, make sure you stop by the Gumbo Limbo Environmental Education Center, a nature center and a coastal and marine preserve – great for families with kids of all ages! Kids will also appreciate the playgrounds in the area and the shallow beach water. There are BBQ pits for picnickers and nearby restaurants and cafes in Boca Raton. All in all, this is a beach where you just can't go wrong…so pack up the kids and those snorkels and head out to Red Reef Park!
