Things to do / Travel Guide
While there are no high elevations in South Florida to make for a traditional scenic overlook, there are some places in the region that will provide you with a special view.
- Mallory Square pier in Key West - Here you can view a spectacular sunset while enjoying the daily carnival ritual that goes along with it.
- The Seven-Mile Bridge in the Keys - Here you will have a wide-open and long-lasting view of both the Atlantic Ocean and Gulf of Mexico simultaneously, even as you drive.
- The observation tower at Shark Valley in the Everglades, off of the Tamiami Trail- Here you get a good panoramic view of Everglades plant and animal life, especially of birds and alligators.
