There is much to see along the long regional coastline, which is best, or only, seen by boat. Boat tours are given on small boats, like canoes and kayaks, glass-bottom boats, as well as on larger passenger ships. Dinner cruises, daytime cruises, and sightseeing boat trips are also available. There are also the famous Florida airboats (special swamp skimmer boats with the giant fan on the back) for use in the swamps, especially the Everglades. These boat tours are readily available in the Everglades, Fort Lauderdale, Key Biscayne, Key Largo, Marathon, and Key West.
