Botanical Gardens around Palm Beach, Florida
Ann Norton Sculpture Garden - Located in West Palm Beach, the garden features many trees and flowers in addition to many of the artist's large sculptures.
Mounts Botanical Garden - This is a large garden in West Palm Beach, with over 13 acres of trees and plants. It also features a butterfly garden.
Morikami Museum and Japanese Gardens - A special place in Delray Beach, in these gardens you can take a quick escape to Japan while still in South Florida. You can even observe or partake in an authentic Japanese tea ceremony. The beautiful landscaping makes this a relaxing and unique attraction.
Botanical Gardens in Broward County
Flamingo Gardens - A very large botanical garden and wildlife sanctuary, there are thousands of plants and many native animals here, including dozens of bird species. This attraction will keep you occupied for the better part of a day, and it's a good several-hour alternative to the Everglades.
Botanical Gardens around Miami, Florida
Fairchild Tropical Garden - Considered one of the better botanical gardens and located in Coral Gables, this place is for the serious nature-lover. The garden features a very large variety of plant life and environments, including a rainforest and many lakes.
Vizcaya Museum and Gardens - One of the most popular tourist attractions in the region, these gardens are located in Coconut Grove. In addition to over 10 acres of formal gardens, here you get to see a magnificent Italian Renaissance house. Visiting this attraction is like taking a mini-trip to Europe.
Southwest Gulf Coast
Edison Winter Estate - The most popular attraction in Fort Myers offers you not only a close look into the life of Thomas Edison and his work, but also a very nice botanical garden. The garden features a gigantic banyan tree that has been growing there since the 1920s and that was given to Edison by Harvey Firestone (as in Firestone tires).
