Expert White Water Rafting Review

Shoot the whitewater rapids of the Rogue River's Wild and Scenic section. Challenge the 35 miles of Class III-IV rapids, thrilling whitewater surrounded by majestic forested canyons. This section, National Wild and Scenic, passes through Siskiyou Mountains and is located in southwest Oregon, south-west of Glendale, 10 miles west of I-5.

Practical Info: Rafting season is open approximately from May to October, with whitewater rafting trips ranging in length from 3 days to 5 days. The river is suitable for paddle rafts, oar rafts, inflatable kayaks, and dories. Portage may be required.

Useful Tips: Guides are optional, although permits may be required for private trips, and whitewater experience is recommended.

Expect to See: Deer, bears, and eagles in an environment of wilderness, canyons, forests, and mountains. See wildflowers, abandoned gold mines, cabins and Indian grounds.
