Expert White Water Rafting Review

Experience the whitewater of the Lower Klamath River. Shoot the 35 miles of Class II-III rapids. Families and first timers can enjoy single or multi-day adventures. This section is located in northern California, south east of Cave Junction, on Hwy 96, below intersection with Indian Creek Rd.

Practical Info: Rafting season is open approximately from April to October, with whitewater rafting trips ranging in length from a half day to 5 days. The river is suitable for paddle rafts, oar rafts, paddle/oar rafts, and inflatable kayaks. Portage may be required.

Useful Tips: Guides are optional, although permits may be required for private trips. Outfitters on the Lower Klamath River offer trips suitable for families.

Expect to See: An environment of wilderness, canyons, forests, and mountains.
