Experience the whitewater of the Salmon River. Shoot the 21 miles of Class IV-V, Class IV rapids, California's premier spring run, wild, beautiful and exciting. This section is located in northern California, south-west of Fort Jones, on Forest Hwy 95.
Practical Info: Rafting season is open approximately from April to August, with whitewater rafting trips ranging in length from 1 day to 2 days. The river is suitable for paddle rafts, and oar rafts. Portage may be required.
Useful Tips: Guides are optional, although permits may be required for private trips, and whitewater experience is recommended.
Expect to See: An environment of wilderness, and mountains.
