Ski facilities often offer warm, inviting atmospheres, and Mount Ashland, located at the highest point on the Siskiyou Mountain Range, is no exception. Freestyle friendly, and community owned, Mount Ashland's network of twenty-three trails never lack for powder with an exceptional 300 plus inches of natural snow annually. You can find chute and bowl skiing here, as well as snowboarding spread out on 200 acres of prime winter sports territory at this resort.

Four chairlifts service the range of trail levels and difficulties, from a designated beginner's area to the steep chutes that has riders plunging into powder, and doubling back over the natural and man made moguls.

Snowboarders will enjoy the three terrain parks which feature multiple jibs, jumps, rails, mailboxes, spines, and rollers, not to mention the kickers off which people grab air on a daily basis!

Open 6 days a week, excluding Tuesdays, there is daily day skiing from 9am to 4pm and twilight skiing from 3pm to 9pm on 40 acres of lit trails. On weekends and holidays, a luxury coach ski bus shuttles riders back and forth from the parking lot to the base of the mountain, making transportation much easier on everyone. As you need a valid Sno-Pass to park at Mt. Ashland, this ski bus can spare you that hassle.

Mount Ashland is so confident of their conditions that they offer a 45 minute satisfaction guarantee. If a rider feels the conditions are wrong for any reason, and they return to the ticket office within 45 minutes, their lift ticket will be fully refunded and they are invited back to try the slopes another day. There are prices for adults, juniors (7-17 years old), and seniors. Children under 6 and seniors over 70 years old ride for free at Mount Ashland. Tickets may be purchased for all lifts for half day, and twilight hours. Discounts for active military personnel and an agreement with Shell gas station are offered on a daily basis.

Rossignol and Atomic rentals can be found in the rental shop for either standard or Demo usage by patrons. Packages or individual pieces are rented out, and personal or rental gear will get top notch service from the onsite repair and tuning shop's qualified technicians. Lessons are provided by instructors belonging to the Professional Ski Instructors of America and American Association of Snowboard Instructors organizations. Students can be assured that they are receiving a top of the line snow sport education, learning to ski and board. There are also children's academy programs for the younger would be snow athletes.

Après ski heats up at the 9 different options for ski and stay packages. You can head into the lounge for micro-brewed beers, wine, and cocktails, or stop into the café or bistro for a selection of delectable foods slopeside. There are spas, restaurants to suit all tastes from pizza to Thai, bistros, and shopping. You can even go ice skating at the rink in the town of Ashland, just 8 miles away.

Visitors craving a big city experience after the runs are through for the day, can head into Redding, California (134 miles), San Francisco (328 miles) or Portland, Oregon (304 miles), and check out their numerous offerings of restaurants, clubs. The big city lodgings vary from hostels on up to 5 star hotels.

The Mt. Ashland Ski Area is nestled in the magnificent Siskiyou Mountains, the alpine gateway to the Pacific Northwest.
