This is a small, kid-friendly aquarium that lets kids get up-close to models and live sea creatures. A touch tanks lets you reach in and touch starfish, among other inhabitants of the sea. You can also watch sea cucumbers and pink/purple sea anemones. Great for families.

Cabrillo Marine Aquarium is an educational, recreational, and research facility devoted to encouraging active public participation to promote knowledge and conservation of the marine life of Southern California. The Aquarium is free but has a suggested admission donation of $5 for adults and $1 for children and is open to the public from 12 noon - 5 pm Tuesday through Friday and on weekends from 10 am - 5 pm.
