Located in the tree-filled Griffith Park, the Greek Theatre accommodates 5,800 people in the Greek-style amphitheater. Visitors to the Greek Theatre are awarded with a view of the stage, which is modeled after a Greek temple, and a view of the starry night above them.

The Greek Theatre is owned by the City of Los Angeles and was built in 1929. It has since then become a world-renowned theater that has hosted thousand of entertainers and musical events that take advantage of state-of-the-art acoustics. The entertainers who have performed at Griffith Park's Greek Theatre have run the gamut from local artists to huge pop and rock icons to classical musicians. Some of these big names include Dolly Parton, Pearl Jam, Bob Marley, Elton John, Radiohead, Tori Amos, Stevie Wonder, Neil Diamond, The White Stripes, The Fray, and Dave Matthews Band, among many others who appeal to all sectors of the Los Angeles community at large.

This historic entertainment venue has won the award for Best Small Outdoor Venue five years in a row as well as other awards that recognize the Greek Theatre's superb place as a Los Angeles cultural icon. This intimate amphitheater also hosts graduations and other non-musical events in addition to the plethora of musical entertainment venues.
