Orange County's Discovery Science Center will blow you away with over 120 hands-on exhibits for science fun, California style. You can play a game of Virtual Volley ball with your friends, or make a 19 foot high tidal wave in the Wave Tank. Play music with a laser harp, or dance on a musical floor. There are opportunities to participate in live science experiments, and you can even witness an erupting geyser.
The Discovery Science Center houses a number of exhibits including a space shuttle, the Discovery Stadium, that explores the sciences of sports, a techno art exhibit, a Boeing Delta III Rocket, the Dino Quest exhibit, the world's first interactive dinosaur adventure, the Quake Zone, the Air and Space exhibits, and a fascinating exhibit on the earth and its dynamics.
In the Quake Zone visitors can live through earthquakes in the Shake Shack, learn about earthquake myth and history, and see how they come in on the video seismograph machine. You can even experience what the historic Long Beach earthquake of 1933 felt like.
The Air and Space exhibit allows visitors to experience flying an airplane, a glider, and more. You'll play with a Bernoulli Blower and experience the air's lift in a wind tunnel. In Dynamic Earth, you'll create cloud rings, tornados, water vortexes, discover viscosity, climb a wall, and create giant waves in the wave tank.
