Things to do / Travel Guide
Address:Laguna Beach, California
Just off the Pacific Coast Highway, nestled opposite long stretches of sand in cool waters in a magnificent reef ready for your exploration! Welcome to Laguna Beach's Shaw's Cove, a 5- to 50-foot deep reef filled with marine life, rocks, and more!
The sandy beach is great for sunbathing and relaxing, but the real draw to Shaw's Cove is the cove itself. So bring a buddy and a snorkel or diving gear, because you are in for a treat! You'll encounter tons of beautiful fish and under sea creatures, including octopi, bat rays, moray eels, and more! And when you get out of the water, make sure you look up and appreciate the rocky coastline and the beautiful canyons that surround you!
To get to Shaw's Cove you take the stairway from the intersection of Cliff and Fairview off the Pacific Coast Highway, down through six landings until you arrive at the beach. There is a phone at the top of the stairs and no bathrooms, showers, or other facilities at the beach.
