Welcome to Orange County's Salt Creek Beach Park in Dana Point, California! Here is a beach that offers everything a beach-goer needs: clean sand, clear waters, lifeguarded areas, great surfing conditions, a snack bar, showers, great parking options, a grassy picnic area, and more! It's a family-friendly beach to the max!
Salt Creek Beach Park is a great beach for swimmers and surfers, but for those who prefer to stay sand-side, Salt Creek offers them tons to do as well. From soaking up rays (using sunblock, of course) to building sandcastles, to whale watching, Salt Creek Beach keeps beach bums of all sorts busy. There's also a fantastic path that winds along the bluff above the beach. This paved trail leads visitors through many optimum viewing spots as well as to changing rooms and showers. It then winds north through a golf course and other scenic parks. The whole trail system covers several miles of ground and is a great option for those who need a break from the surf.
Salt Creek Beach Park is located off of the Pacific Coast Highway and Ritz Carlton Drive, just under the Ritz Carlton and four miles north of the San Diego Freeway. Parking is cheap and the beach is open from 5:00am until midnight, making Salt Creek Beach Park a great spot for early birds and night owls!
