Come explore the finest of desert plant life in a one-of-a-kind botanical garden. The Desert Botanical Garden is home to countless rare and endangered species, and offers interesting and inspiring experiences to its more than 300,000 visitors each year. Located among the red buttes of Papago Park, this Garden showcases 50 acres of outdoor exhibits, and is home to 139 rare, threatened, and endangered plant species from around the world. Desert Botanical Garden is known for its amazing cactus collection, and is especially strong in the flora of the Sonoran desert. Plant lovers will enjoy visiting the herbarium, as well as browsing the onsite library which boasts 5,500 titles on desert plant life. In addition to having an incredible collection, Desert Botanical Garden also features children's programs that provide kids with opportunities to discover the wonders of the desert, along with the native flora of the Southwestern US.
The Desert Botanical Garden is located at the southeastern edge of the Salt River Valley in Phoenix, Arizona, near the cities of Scottsdale and Tempe.
