In recent years, the Phoenix suburb of Glendale has taken over a good portion of the city's sports scene with a new football stadium and hockey arena. That trend also applies to beach volleyball, with the local AVP tournament going to the Westgate City Center; a giant mixed-use complex that also features the aforementioned Jobing.com hockey Arena.

The AVP Glendale Open comes to the complex each May, with four days of action across six different sessions. Competition begins on Thursday with qualifying, and continues with day and night sessions for the main draw Friday and Saturday (8 a.m.-6 p.m. and 7 p.m.-10 p.m.), concluding with the final rounds on Sunday.

Tickets are free for Thursday's matches and are available for each session at regular, courtside, front row, and student rates.
