This historical national memorial near the Arizona-Mexico border pays homage to Francisco Vásquez de Coronado and his 1540 expedition to the Southwest. In addition to the park's rich human and cultural history, visitors will enjoy stunning panoramic views of Montezuma Pass and the San Pedro River Valley. A short hike will lead you to the top of Coronado Peak and Coronado Cave; both well worth the effort. Wildlife viewing, camping, hiking, and scenic tours are all great ways to experience the park.
