With over fifty archives of the greatest photographers from the 20th century and 80,000 photos from 2,000 photographers, the Center for Creative Photography located on the University of Arizona Campus, is an awesome representation of twentieth-century North American photography. Established in 1975 with a staff of three and only five artists' galleries, the museum has grown into Norh America's most diverse presentation on the art of photography and attracts a wealth of visitors.
Prepare to enjoy the works of Ansel Adams, Edward Weston, Garry Winogrand, Harry Callahan, Lola Alvarez Bravo, Richard Avedon, Ernest Bloch, Josef Breitenbach, Dean Brown, Wynn Bullock, Harry Callahan, Louise Dahl-Wolfe, Andreas Feininger, William Mortensen, Marion Palfi, Aaron Siskind, W. Eugene Smith, Frederick Sommer, Peter Stackpole, Edward Steichen, Paul Strand, Tseng Kwong Chi, Laura Volkerding, and Edward Weston. The museum's archives include photographs, negatives, albums, work prints, manuscripts, audio-visual material, contact sheets, correspondence and memorabilia.
The Center's Gallery Store holds an extensive selection of photography books (including rare signed copies) and other hard to find publications. Books, monographs and essays on photographic art are available as well as posters, desk accessories and exclusive Center signature items.
To get to the Center for Creative Photography from I-10: Drive towards Tucson until you reach exit 257 for Speedway Boulevard East/University of Arizona. Head east until Park Ave. where you'll make a left followed by an immediate right onto Park Avenue Garage. Park or keep walking underneath Speedway. The Center is the second building on your left.

The Center for Creative Photography is an archive and research center located on the University of Arizona campus. We retain the archives of Ansel Adams, Edward Weston, Garry Winogrand, Harry Callahan, and other great 20th century photographers—over fifty archives in all.
