Things to do / Travel Guide
One thing's for sure in this region: you can leave your jacket at home! This region enjoys low humidity, very little precipitation, and clear, sunny skies all year round. Even the winter is a great time to come visit this region, as it basks in delightfully toasty and sunny weather during the days, though it might get a bit nippy at night. Spring is sunny and warm and features a spectacular show of desert wildflowers. Long summers, lasting from May-September, bring sizzling and scorching hot weather. The short fall season is sunny and warm, too.
If you and heat don't mix well, you should probably avoid visiting this region in the summer months, as the temperatures are simply sky high. If you do pay a visit to the region then, note that due to the very low humidity, despite the heat, you probably won't sweat much. Occasionally, there's the odd thunderstorm. These feature torrential downpours that often lead to flash floods, but the rains themselves don't last too long.
