The Abraham Lincoln Library and Museum is a tribute to our nation's 16th president and houses one of the U.S.'s top five collections of Lincoln and Civil War literature and artifacts. For Civil War and American history buffs, this library and museum will astound you and make you feel right at home!
The Abraham Lincoln Library and Museum began as a small Lincoln collection at Lincoln Memorial University in 1929. By the 1970s it had grown out of its little room and into the library and museum as we know it today. Guests to the library and museum will encounter over 20,000 artifacts, 6,000 rare books, and 1,000 sheets of Civil War music. Together, these collections will enrich visitors' knowledge about the great leader who led our country through the war that nearly tore it apart.
