Our Sports Superfan Says:
Deep in the heart of Texas, fans can see exciting rodeo once a year during the Star of Texas Fair and Rodeo. They can also come here for monster car competitions, horse shows, wrestling matches, car shows, and other events in the 128-acre Travis County Exposition Center.
In late February/early March, the complex hosts its signature event; the Star of Texas. Starting in 1938, the event has brought thousands of spectators to Travis County to enjoy the bulls, steers, and broncos. It also has rides, carnivals, parades, concerts, and activities throughout the day for people of all ages. In addition to the main stadium, where the rodeo itself is held, the Expo Center also has a banquet hall, and outdoor facilities, making it a year-round destination.
The Travis County Exposition Center is located in Austin, Texas' state capital.
