The Children's Museum offers 14 galleries of hands-on exhibits and innovative outreach programming for kids from birth to 12 years. With exhibits such as "Building Zone" and "Think Tank," kids will get to explore different thought processes and learn effective problem-solving techniques through puzzles and optical illusions. In the "Farm to Market" exhibit, the little ones can put on an apron and run the cash registers and scanners, serving as a cashier or stock person. The Children's Museum of Houston also has its very own Kid's Cafe, offering hot eats and treats throughout the day, and a Kids' First Movie Series that features kid-friendly films with a different cinema adventure every day. Thursday evenings from 5 to 8 pm are Free Family Nights, when families are able to come to the Museum and experience everything CMH has to offer free of charge.
