Exceptional exhibits for children of all ages and interests abound 12,500 square feet of room to learn, explore and play. The Austin Children's Museum in Colorado, Austin, creates innovative learning experiences for children and adults, inspiring a new generation of creative problem solvers. Amazing exhibits and a moving children's exhibit will make you want to come back again and again.
Youngsters, visiting the Austin Children's Museum, can explore a kids-sized Metro bus, or in a shadow garden. Builders will grow in the Funstruction Zone, and Global City will educate on how a city works as your kids play with bubbles, become a rock star, tinker and build in a workshop or even milk a dairy cow as they explore this marvelous exhibit.
Temporary exhibits change a few times a year and are really special. "It's a Nano World" explores everything in the world smaller than a ladybug, and "Play it by Ear" will be a real treat as your kids touch, experiment and interact with musical works of art and instruments.
The museum store includes cool games, toys and art supplies. Pick up a furnished doll's house, a fold and go barn, I Spy Games, pirate chests, and even gingerbread house take home kits.
Getting to the Austin Children's Museum is easy. Capital Metro bus routes #2, #10, #12, #15, #16 and #64 drop off close to the Museum. If you are already in the downtown area, hop on the Red, Gold or Orange 'Dillo. Both drop off near the Museum and downtown 'Dillos are always free to ride!
Take your kids out for a day of fun and adventure. You'll definitely find yourself learning too, and are guaranteed a great time.
