Experience the whitewater of the Tatshenshini River. Shoot the 184 miles of Class II-III rapids, surrounded by primal wilderness untouched by Man. This section, Dalton Post to Dry Bay, passes through Tatshenshini-Alsek Provincial Park and Glacier Bay National Park and is located in Southwest Yukon, 10 miles north of the Yukon border, on Haines Hwy.
Practical Info: Rafting season is open approximately from June to September, with whitewater rafting trips ranging in length from 9 days to 12 days. The river is suitable for paddle rafts, and oar rafts.
Useful Tips: Guides are optional, although permits may be required for private trips.
Expect to See: Grizzlies, moose, goats, eagles, hawks, wolves, Dall's sheep, and rare wildflowers in an environment of wilderness, canyons, mountains, and glaciers.
