Shoot the whitewater rapids of the Fortymile River and challenge the 90 miles of Class II-III rapids. This section is located in eastern Alaska, east of Fairbanks, on Taylor Hwy.
Practical Info: Rafting season is open approximately from June to September, with whitewater rafting trips that can be completed in 7 days. The river is suitable for paddle rafts, and oar rafts.
Useful Tips: Guides are optional, although permits may be required for private trips. Outfitters on the Fortymile River offer trips suitable for families.
Expect to See: Bear and moose in an environment of wilderness, and mountains.
