One example of what esteem an El Dorado winery can attain is David Girard Vineyards. The 85 acres of vineyard produce varieties like Chardonnay, Grenache, and Syrah. The vintners have really grown to love the Rhone wines, and it shows. The Grenache, a favorite of the vintners, contains smells of strawberry and cherry, and emits flavors of these and currants. With some advance notice, you can even get a picnic lunch delivered for your visit to the vineyard.
Located at 1300 feet in the Sierra Foothills, our El Dorado County winery produces fine wines under the David Girard label. The beautiful 85 acre vineyard property bears mature fruit native to the great Rhone Valley. With these extraordinary grapes and winemaking expertise, David Girard Vineyards produces finely balanced wines reminiscent of those found in Southern France. Although the Rhone style wines are a focus, a limited amount of classic Bordeaux varietals are also available.
We invite every wine enthusiast to visit our vineyard, enjoy the scenery, and taste our exceptional wines.
