Experience the whitewater of the Upper Kern River. Shoot the 20 miles of Class III-IV+ rapids, heart-thumping excitement and breathtaking scenery. This section is located in south-central California, north of Kernville, on Hwy SM99 at the bridge over the river.
Practical Info: Rafting season is open approximately from May to July, with whitewater rafting trips ranging in length from 1 day to 2 days. The river is suitable for paddle rafts, and oar rafts. Portage may be required.
Useful Tips: Guides are optional, although permits may be required for private trips, and whitewater experience is recommended.
