Experience the whitewater of the Tuolumne River. Shoot the 18 miles of Class III-IV+(IV-V in high water) rapids, with 15 major Class IV-IV+ rapids. This section is located in central California, east of Sonora, 10 miles west of Yosemite National Park.
Practical Info: Rafting season is open approximately from April to October, with whitewater rafting trips ranging in length from a day trip up to 3 days. The river is suitable for paddle rafts, and oar rafts. Portage may be required.
Useful Tips: Guides are optional, although permits may be required for private trips, and whitewater experience is recommended.
Expect to See: An environment of canyons, and mountains.
