Experience the whitewater of the Stanislaus River's North Fork. Shoot the 5 miles of Class IV+ rapids, wild, scenic, and highly technical. This section, Sourgrass to Calaveras Big Trees State Park, passes through Stanislaus National Forest and Big Trees State Park and is located in central California, north east of Dorrington, 1 mile east of Route 4 on Forest Route 5N02.

Practical Info: Rafting season is open approximately from May to September, with whitewater rafting trips that can be completed in 1 day. The river is suitable for paddle rafts. Portage may be required.

Useful Tips: Guides are optional, although permits may be required for private trips, and whitewater experience is recommended.
