Experience the whitewater of the Lower Kern River. Shoot the 19 miles of Class III-IV rapids. While not as technically challenging as "The Forks" you will still find an abundance of exciting rapids on this run. This section is located in south-central California, below Lake Isabella Dam, on Route 501- Wofford Blvd.
Practical Info: Rafting season is open approximately from May to October, with whitewater rafting trips ranging in length from 1 day to 2 days. The river is suitable for paddle rafts, and oar rafts. Portage may be required.
Useful Tips: Guides are optional, although permits may be required for private trips, and whitewater experience is recommended.
Expect to See: An environment of wilderness, canyons, and mountains.
