Venture down the whitewater of the Forks on the Kern River. Experience the 18 miles of Class IV-V+ rapids, highly technical whitewaters with sections that may require scouting in advance and possibly portage during high waters. This section passes through Sequoia National Park and is located in south-central California, east of Springville, 5 miles east of Route 190- western Divide Hwy.
Practical Info: Rafting season is open approximately from April to July, with whitewater rafting trips ranging in length from 2 days to 3 days. The river is suitable for paddle rafts, and oar rafts. Portage may be required (during high-water).
Useful Tips: Guides are optional, although permits may be required for private trips, and whitewater experience is recommended.
