Expert White Water Rafting Review

Experience the whitewater of the Kaweah River. Shoot the 20 miles of Class III-V+ rapids, one of California's most challenging runs. This section, Gateway Bridge to Terminus Reservoir, passes through Sequoia and Kings Canyon National Parks and is located in south central California, at the entrance to Sequoia National Park, on Route 198- Sierra Dr.

Practical Info: Rafting season is open approximately from April to June, with whitewater rafting trips ranging in length from a day trip up to 2 days. The river is suitable for paddle rafts. Portage may be required (required in the spring).

Useful Tips: Guides are optional, although permits may be required for private trips, and whitewater experience is recommended.

Expect to See: Bear, deer, and mountain lions in an environment of wilderness, canyons, and mountains.
