Venture down the whitewater of the Carson River's East Fork. Experience the 26 miles of Class II-III rapids, easy whitewater perfect for family adventure. These sections, Cave Rock to Hangman's Bridge and Hangman's Bridge to Ruhenstroth Dam, are located in east-central California, 15 miles southeast of Lake Tahoe.

Practical Info: Rafting season is open approximately from April to June, with whitewater rafting trips ranging in length from a day trip up to 2 days. Popular trips include the 6 mile Upper section, and the 20 mile Wilderness Run section. The river is suitable for paddle rafts, and oar rafts.

Useful Tips: Guides are optional, although permits may be required for private trips. Outfitters on the Carson River's East Fork offer trips suitable for families.
