Mammoth = BIG. As in 3,500 acres of terrain, 28 lifts, 3 terrain parks, and the largest half pipe in California. Did we mention that the season runs from November to June? It does, and sometimes runs even longer. The remote mountain is hugely popular with the Southern California crowd for whom the mountain is most accessible. Much of the dramatic skiing is above the treeline, though the lower area offers miles of groomed trails, and canyons filled with bump runs.
