Thinking of skiing in California? Well stop thinking and come check out the largest resort (4,800 acres) with the longest vertical drop (3,500 feet) and the highest summit (10,067 feet) in the state. Actually, there are four base facilities spread out between CA and Nevada. Sound nice? No, it sounds heavenly and it is. Another tidbit that might interest you is that the new, high-speed Olympic Express lift takes just 3 and a half minutes to whisk you up the mountain, replacing a trip that used to take nearly 11 minutes. Awesome, right? No, Heavenly. Other facts and figures you may wish to consider include an average of 380 inches of snowfall a year, lots of sparkling California sunshine, 95 trails, 30 lifts, the largest snowmaking system in the western United States (just in case), AND (and?) yes, AND gorgeous views of fabulous Lake Tahoe.
