Travel back through time as you stroll through a century of automobiles! With more than 220 antique, vintage, classic, special interest, and "cars-of-the-stars" vehicles, car lovers will find fulfillment in the Harrah Collection, leaving you coming back again and again!
Located just south of the Truckee River in Reno, the National Automobile Museum displays historic automobiles from the late 19th Century to the 1960s. Most of the vehicles displayed are from the collection of the late casino owner William F. Harrah, and include a V-16 Cadillac, a Duesenberg, a 24k gold plated American Express Delorean DMC-12, and numerous air-cooled Franklin automobiles in addition to other early or notable automobiles. Other famous cars include an 1892 Philion Road Carriage, and James Dean's 1949 Mercury Coupe from 'Rebel Without a Cause'. Visitors can also see a "Jerarri" here, a full-size Jeep SUV fitted with a V-12 Ferrari engine, formerly used by William F. Harrah. Real auto-enthusiasts can even "adopt" a car, assuming responsibility for regular cleaning and appearance preservation.
The Museum is located at 10 South Lake Street (corner of Lake & Mill), just 2 blocks from downtown Reno.
