warm in the summer and mild in the winter, making it perfect for outdoor recreation. Aside from 10 miles of hiking trails, water sports like kayaking and awesome fishing, Cove Palisades boasts fantastic camping on two major grounds and authentic rustic cabins for overnight stays. The park is filled with high desert flora and fauna and boasts a unique natural resource area which supports one of the last pristine remnants of pre-settlement ecology in the western United States. In addition, there is a store and a restaurant here available for the comfort of park goers. Annual events here include Lake Billy Chinook Day in September and the annual Eagle Watch in February, so if in the area during these times of the year, be sure to pay this park a visit.
