Our Nature Nut Says:

Named for Oregon's first Park superintendent, Samuel Boardman, Boardman State Park is a truly splendid natural preserve. From seaside prairies to secluded coves and massive cliffs, this park is filled with potential adventures in nature. Visitors are invited to hike the 27 miles of Oregon coastal trail, visit old mining sites, and simply take in the spectacular vistas here. Boardman has interpretive events as well as nature programs which naturalists are sure to adore, and swimming and fishing opportunities are available as well, among the native plants and wildlife. All in all, this park is fun-filled and brimming with nature in all her bounty.

From Boardman State Park - Oregon:

Allegany State Park's 65,000 acres is known for its primitive forested valleys, un-glaciated landscape, fall leaves and wildlife. The two developed areas, Red House and Quaker, make this the largest State Park in the system. Both areas offer sand beaches, picnic areas, museums, hiking trails and naturalist walks. Walkers and bicycle riders take advantage of the five miles of paved trails around Red House. The Art Roscoe Ski Touring Area has some of the finest groomed cross country skiing and mountain bike trails in the Northeast. Snowmobilers are attracted to Allegany State Park for its 90 miles of groomed snowmobile trails and over 150 winterized cabins. Other activities include bird watching, picnicking, fishing, hunting, snowshoeing, canoeing, and horseback riding.
