Our Golf Guru Says:

Go fly a kite. You may feel like doing just that when you feel the wind at this ocean-side course. Built in the links-style, that originated in Scotland, if you use your imagination you may be able to convince yourself you're playing golf across the pond. Certainly, the often foggy weather conditions will help with your self-deception. The greens are very, very large, ranging from 30 to 60 feet in width, and you are required to walk not just those long greens, but the entire course. This course was selected by Golf Magazine as one of its "Top 100 Courses in the U.S." This course is for serious golfers.

From Bandon Dunes Golf Resort & Course - Bandon, Oregon:

It began in 1999 with the opening of Bandon Dunes. Designed by Scotsman David McLay Kidd, the course is perched on a bluff high above the Pacific Ocean. The course unfolds along pristine native dunes where expansive ocean views are revealed on nearly every hole. The course is completely natural and routed through an environment of indigenous vegetation. Beyond breathtaking scenery lies the game of golf in its truest form. This is a thinker's course. Winds are ever-present, and the varying elements create a new experience each time you play.
