Weather in Oregon Coast from Astoria to Coos Bay to Gold Beach

Things to do / Travel Guide

In general, temperatures remain mild to cool throughout the year. The lengthy winters are wet and cloudy with very little sunshine. The region's weather ranges from violent rainstorms caused by Pacific Ocean storms to clear, sunny skies during this season. Spring starts off with many rainy days in the form of Pacific Ocean storms, but as the season progresses, there is less precipitation and more sunshine. Summer is the warmest and driest season with plenty of sunshine and possible fog, especially in the early mornings and late evenings. The cooling effect of the Pacific Ocean generally keeps summer temperatures down, although some hot stretches are not uncommon. Fall weather is very much like winter weather; many rain showers and a drastic rise in cloudiness and precipitation.

The Oregon Coast region, stretching the entire length of the state's coastline, never really gets too hot or cold, but it can sure be overcast! For the clearest skies, as well as for the warmest (but still very pleasant) and driest temperatures, pay a visit to the region in the summer months.
